I have three Fullriver AGM batteries (2 @ 120AH and 1 @ 60 AH), all purchased from Fridge and Solar over the past 20 months or so.

Unfortunately one of the 120AHs died a few days ago. It was about 18 months old and past it's warranty period. Bugger, I had been so happy with them up to that point.

I rang Mr Val Rigoli who runs Fridge and Solar and explained the situation. As I'm not too far away, he asked me to drop the battery in. He asked to keep it for a couple of days to 'put it through it's paces'. He said that there were a few possibilities, but worst case, he should be able to get me a replacement at the importer's cost price (a bit over $100 less than retail). I'd rather my battery hadn't failed, but probably a reasonable outcome under the circumstances.

Less than 2 days later he got back to me. He agrees, the battery is stuffed. Now here is the kicker. He says he will give me a new battery to replace it and sort it out with the importer later. Legally he could have said that's bad luck, I'll sell you a new one for $300. Might have had an unhappy customer, but so what.

Now he has a very happy customer, willing to tell the world. Good business from a bloke who has always been very helpful with advice and information in the past. So if you are after a fridge, solar panels etc, batteries and plenty more at least consider Fridge and Solar. They are now solely an internet, phone and mail sales business.

Apart from being a satisfied customer, I have no connection to this business.

Norm,
I bought an AGM 120 off Val too, plus a CTEK 7000, 3 stage battery charger.

On trip to WA ran into trouble with CTEK at Derby.Val arranged for a replacement to be sent at my next port of call, no questions asked.

He also arranged for fitting of wiring for battery in back of cruiser and gave expert advice on anderson plugs for charging of battery (smaller AGM) in caravan.
His time in telling me about how to run things and what to avoid probably cost him money(profit).
I found Val to be one of those exceptional businessmen who can make a dollar though hard work but not rip off the customer.

In summary I support everything you say about Val. He is a most helpful expert to a dummy like me.
Fortunately I live at the Gold Coast, and am not too far away from his business, but if I lived elsewhere in the future I would go to "http://www.exploroz.com/Directory/Customer/850.asp">fridge and solar.

Norm,
BF Goodrich replaced 2 ATs for us early this year. Cost them nothing in dollar terms, and I probably broke even.

So, next tyre change, they will still be considered: as opposed to 'G.Stfd !!'
It's nice when a probable fault is conceded, (and The Moderator is entitled to ban me if I even intimate Iraq).

Best wishes to all the honest suppliers out there. Stick with it fellas,'cause you'd never survive on Pollie's Gravy Train.

Val is a top bloke.

I've spoken to him, but due to the fact it was easier to get the stuff I wanted locally I purchased locally. Was that a problem for him? No way.

I've only ever heard good reports about the man and his business.
