Hi Everyone,
Could someone please tell me what the exhaust and inlet valve clearances are for the GU Patrol 4.5 Lt petrol engine,I have just placed my GU on LPG and I have been told it is best to adjust the valve clearances every 10,000kms instead of every 20,000kms when running LPG.
Also is there a non genuine workshop manual available that has the 4.5lt engine in it.
All responses appreciated.
Regards
Peter.

sounds like a load of cods wallop to me.
In older engines this would be an issue as the lead helped protect against valve recession and gas conversions on these older motors was an issue. newer motors have hardened seats and valves because unleaded lacks some of those protective properties as
well (nothing like good ol lead) An unleaded motor unless you have a noted power loss or noisy operation I would do it by the handbook and save some money
