Hi I am looking for comment/feedack/recomendations for a small all weather awning to go on the side of my new Goldstream. I already have an awning and anexe for the side where the door opens out into and i am interested in a small awning to give shade and protecion from the rain on the other side.

Steve have seen these on both the Jayco and Coromal and think they are a great idea and was thinking of getting one for our Coromal, but alas who in the ACT does this sort of thing?

Very easy to make your own. See the site attached to Jack's post. I made one like that, but extended the length about two feet in front of the passengers door. Also left about 3 feet of tarp longer than front edge so I can peg this down to give a sidewall at the front (ie, the longside) of the awning. In rough weather we lower the poles to this height and everything keeps stable in high winds and weather is kept out,
Didn't bother about a cover for the awning when it is rolled, just use 4 okkie straps around it and it works and travels just fine, Total cost, including a quality silver awning, less than $200.

If you're not into making your own, give "Caravan awnings au" a Google.
This link has a fair range www.carefree-awnings.com.au/index.html or your local blind & awning manufacturer could possibly knock something up for you.
