I removed the original handles and fitted eye bolts into the handles retainer threads, then lock the fridge down with turnbuckles with hooked ends.
Needless to say the fridge has never moved and is easy enough to remove.

Engel have a hold down kit which is four turnbuckles and four adaptors which locate under the carry handles, once fitted the fridge goes no where the fridge slide dosen't go.

We did the same as Chaz suggested there with ours Truckster, those cheap durable turnbuckles. Ours wouldnt quite reach so just grabbed a couple of those small karabiners as
well and its all good and solid.Cheers mate unc.

Bruce.....
we got some straps from our local
camping place, they're rated at heaps of kgs, and to date have never been a problem. Cost, like, $4 each.... we use four, one on each of the Trailblaza's handles and I built 4 of those recessed handle dooveries onto the fridge slide.
Cheers
Brian

Got a
seat belt kit for nix from a bloke I know at the wreckers - they chuck heaps of them out - dismantled the fridge (Waeco 60) handles and put them through the end loops of the belts - handles back on - threaded belt under the slide tray - I rely on the tray to hold the fridge - arranged the belts so that the clasp is in front of the fridge - pull it tight for travel - unclip if needing to take the fridge out - otherwise belts slide with the fridge.

I do the same as JohnR Bruce and screw upwards through the rubber feet. If you just use straps to hold it down it's pretty easy to steal as you just undo the straps but I replaced the screws (phillips head) on my Engel with Unbrako type set screws which unless you have an Unbrako tool you're not going to get it off the fridge slide.

Turn buckles , 4x , cargo barrier or not ,you dont want the fridge to move at all ,specially if you have
young Cam sitting in the
seat directly in front of the fridge.

I use Engel transit lock, supposedly crash tested & ADR approved, but for extreme off road I also use rope ratchet tiedowns as a back up, just to be 101% sure!
