Hi guys
I am having idle problems with my gas conversion,I have a 96 landcruiser petrol/gas (sprint gas with no computer as I do not have a o2 sensor) it idles at 400-600 when cold on gas and nearly cuts out, but 900 on petrol, when warm it idles at 700 but drops down when the air is on, I have replaced the step-up motor and leads(bosch) This problem has been on going on for 18 mths with 4 mechanics looking at it with no affect, they increase the idle but it drops back next day.I have had it dyno tuned (as I only get 3k's litre towing) again no affect, could someone please give me some ideas what is the problem and how to fix it
thanks

A friend has a gas system on a cruiser with a chevy, and it has a cable which he has to pull out when on gas and push in when on petrol (or the other way around). The cable has a T handle and is next to the switch. The cable is attached to a bellows/diapragm inside the carbie, and when in the wrong spot the car still runs on gas but gets bad economy.
He had the thing looked at by quite a few "gas tuners" before someone finally pointed out what it was for.
Perhaps you also have this?

There is obviously something wrong. Find a mechanic that actually knows something about LPG set-ups, not just pretending they do.

Shanebo,
I dont know where you are located, but if you are in SE Qld try
Torquegas at 19 Latcham Drive, Caloundra, QLD 4551, Phone 07 5492 5535
I had an 80 series on dual fuel and had contin ual problems with it until a friend on Sunshine Coast recommended this place. In desperation I tried them and he solved the problem in about 3 hours.
The owner Ron knows his stuff and i can highly recommend them.
Hope this helps

Thanks for the answers I have a fuel injected model, the only cable I can think of is the throttle cable which I do not want to use around town,I live in Sth Australia and I will try sprints
Adelaide.
I question is the step-up motor connected to the computer and not working on gas?
