Jack Lights Playing Up

Could it be an earth problem?
Does this cluster of lights have an earth wire?

I had a similar problem with the Nissan and after exhaustive checks though the whole electrical system found that the headlight stalk/switch on the steering column was faulty. Had to source one from the wreckers as the switch inside is a sealed unit.

Thanks guys - Tried to get GM to look at it - had to be booked in etc etc etc.

Thanked them and went to the automotive electrician next door (saw a few holdens in there so I can guess where the hard ones go)

10 minutes later a very sheepish and embarrassed me sneaked out of their place with two bulbs replaced and perfect lights again. (my excuse is I would never have worked out or been game to get the side light cover off the way they did)

Thanks for the advice - Thank god this time the remedy was cheap.

no need to feel particularly sheepish: you have possibly become an anon. member of a GIANT mob of confused sheep /(owners).
As Oldplodder implied, earthing may have contributed to the drama.
Now I wouldn't know bleep from clay, but I've spent HOURS repairing wiring defects to our --- 'roo bar:( --- = Big Brand Name).
