Has anyone here had done to their Landcruiser V8 100 series an lpg conversion and how did it go?
Is it safe to have it done and are there any short falls that I may need to be aware of ?
thanks
Mark.

I have been trying the same conversion, have discovered a few pitfalls..
First is that you should install a "vapour injection" system such as Tartarini or Prins, this seems to be the only way that you get to keep all the engine management functions such as traction control. They also are much more efficient and the economy drop is 5-15% vs 25-30% from older technology systems.
The second big issue is if you have a Toyota 3,500KG towbar. The problem is that on the right hand side there is a support bracket that is bolted to a cross member so that the standard exhaust does not have to be relocated. This cross-member needs to be removed if you want the LPG
tank under the vehicle (the "scuba tanks" do not fit an IFS Cruise as the chassis rails are further apart).
I had my Sahara booked in last week but had to back out when the fitter said I "had to lose the towbar", as I tow large blunt objects that was not useful. I have since found another fitter who will do the job properly and modify the Toyota bar but I am now back onto the 5 month waiting list.
