Hi All

I have just installed a diesel tacho in my standard GX 80 series. The only problem is I have to tune the tacho to the engine so i was just wondering if people can tell me what rpm they do in the following conditions. Car is a 1994 Diesel (1hz) 5 spd, 80 series.

1st Gear- 20km/h RPM??
2nd Gear-40km/h RPM??
3rd Gear-60km/h RPM??
4th Gear-80km/h RPM??
5th Gear-100km/h RPM??

I know there is a lot but I am also trying to work out if the tacho is correct over a wide range of gears and rpm's

Also what is redline for the 1hz, in the 80 series???

Thanks heaps

In 5th gear 1000rpm = 40kph

100kph = 25000rpm

I can not say what the revs are in the other gears.

4200 rpm is the red line

Mind telling us more about the tacho you have found? :-) Brand? Digital or analog?

I got it off ebay, it cost $100.

Its a Auto-Gauge. It is 5 inchs big though, it was the cheapest I could find, they were throwing them out because they purchased the wrong model. They purchased Diesel instead of Petrol
