I have a Nissan Patrol 1998 2.8L td now with 150,000kms it has very bad smoke on start up and right though to 5th gear. I have had this problem since about 60,000kms i have replaced the injectors and injector pump about 20,000kms ago.
has anyone have or had the same problem ?

refer to nissan bulletin no. ef 02-002
it to do with timing cover on pump...
can also cause " hard to start " issues

Thanks for that were will i find that bulletin ?
I had the hard to start thats why i got a new pump put on .

that is a nissan service bulletin number
roughly $22.00 plus labour

I have been on to Nissan and they said that the ef 02 -002 was for the had to start problem ont smoke.

hard to start is caused by over fueling
this causes smoke
