Many thanks to all thos that responded to my post 38788, yes it was the jet that was apparently blocked. While I am technically trained in in electronics this was my first venture into the inner workings of gas appliances, it is a real anti climax when you strip everthing down to get to the jet, look at it, find your smallest piece of wire and feed it thru the jet, see nothing, put it all back together and it works perfectly. To those that thought I might be from further North I live in Brissie, Rocky is a nickname I picked up in the
services.
I thought some might be interested in some trip details, this was our first attempt at a longer trip relying on
solar power. Our ct is equipped with a 100ah deep cycle battery which we use to power a medium size
camping fridge ( this is our drinks fridge and we both like a cold drink on any day so it get a fair work out) four 10 watt lights for a couple of hours each night and our shower pump.
We recently purchased 2 X 40 watt Kyocera Panels that I set up as a folding unit along with a PL20 Solar Controller to suppliment our existing 35w flexible uni solar panel. The PL 20 controller provides history that I will attempt to show,
Day Amp Hours In Amp Hours Out
1 11 20
2 52 47
3 44 48
4 33 38
5 46 36
6 54 55
7 57 71
8 14 16
On day 5 we took the fridge for a drive to
Sandy Cape which account fotr the differences on that day.
On the Saturday that we drove up
the beach from the southern end at low tide and
the beach was like a freeway 2wd drive towing the ct all the way, when we returned a week later also on the low tide sand ridges and 4wd all the way, amazing.
Idiots we saw
Backpackers travelling way too fast
Families with their kids driving while sitting on dad's lap
The crowd with the baby jeep in the salt
water up to doots trying to tow a kid on a hydro slide.
