DIO,
Just checked the 'Michelle's sacs' site - for a 40l Engel cover - $199.
When I got
mine 40l I received a cover free (genuine Engel) - the dealers stated it was worth about $100. I would say this is more like it. Anything under $100 for the genuine cover should be good value, although I think most
places will throw one in for free if you buy a fridge. Might be worth asking around in case someone has one that they don't need.
Tim - Stratford.

Hi DIO,
A fair price?
Depends on what the prospective purchaser is prepared to pay and what the seller is prepared to accept.
Engel website should give some indication of max retail price as a basis for negotiation. They are not cheap!

The internet is your friend and a search for companies that supply these will reveal an average price but also any bargains.

Hi DIO,
Go to your local Engel dealer and he will be able to get one for you. The Part No for the 40th Anniversary is TBAG 45G. They have a RR of $159, but most stores will do a better price if you have purchased the fridge from them. At the store where I work, we sell the New Fridge and Bag for $1149.
I know some
Camping stores in
Adelaide were selling Chinese made bags as part of the deal. Speaking with my local Engel Rep, if they are fitted to the fridge, they will void the warranty.
Cheers
Stephen

Stephen L,
And why is that? A cursory glance would reveal airway blockages.
Eager to hear the reason. I'm truly intrigued. JH.

Hi Jeff
They claim that the Chinese Made Bags do not have the same venting as the Australian Made Bags, and therefore effect the air flow and cooling when the fridge is in use. I personally have never seen a Chinese made Bag, and am going by what our Engel Rep personally told me.
By using the cheaper Bags, some
places are able to offer a cheaper package price, as most people would never be aware of the correct prices.
Stick with the Genuine Engel Bag and you will have no regrets.
Stephen

Hi DIO
Retail is $165.00 incl tax. You can get them for around $140.00 if you ask.

obviously not around the motor end
I also have pieces of air-conditioner duct insulation (about 20mm foam with silver foil on 1 side) cut to size and glued onto lid and sides.
