Gday Boc
Possibly getting a bit of air from somewhere, maybe a pinhole in the ful line. More expensive possibility is the fuel pump - could be the built in lift pump has a fault - could be worse........I'd get it checked by someone in the know...
Good luck
Andrew

Hi ozboc, there is a 17mm bolt on the top of the fuel pump,if you take this off, be careful not to lose the washers, and inside is a small gauze filter that will block up with crap. Take it out and clean that ,then put back in ,or get a new gauze if it's totally stuffed and that could be your problem.Cheers Unc.

Uncle,
I've got a 2004 Intercooled Turbo.
Went looking for the filter you talk about. The only 17mm bolt I found is at the front of the pump and appears to come from the filter. Removed the 17mm Fuel bolt but there are no filters inside at all.
Question is should I have a filter there or did this model do away with them
Thanks

Gday guys -- the problem was the little filter under the 17 mm bolt ( for fuel line ) i would estimate it was almost 95% blocked -- cleaned it out and now she is flying again like a new car
thanks for your help :)

Just goes to show that fuel filters don't stop all the crud getting through. And why isn't this simple fix mentioned in the owners manual? Or is it?

Hi there - no mention of this little filter in the owners manual at all (
well not the version i have anyway ) another thing i was disapointed with is the fact the owners manual does not state the filter numbers for fuel or both oil filters. had to make a manual recording in the book for my own future reference
