Just did a search and only found one thread on this subject, so i through i'd ask the question . The sides of our rooftop are 8 years old now and we have started to notice a bit of coming through when it rains ( ha ha ) , if it rains . We're going to Tassie next year and through we had better reproof it before we go . So , the question is , what to use ? Are there any new sprayon products on the market that we can use ? Never had to do this befor , so any help would be appreciated . Thanks in addvance .Errol

Gday Errol,
There used to be a product called "SUPER PROOF" available from
camping shops which was a spray on waterproofing. Havent seen it for years though, you could also get a wax stick to do the seams.
Cheers

Hi Errol
My brother recently (in the last 12 months) waterproofed his cotton canvas family tent with a spray or brush-on product he got from a rural supplier in
Port Lincoln. It worked a treat. Unfortunately heand the family are enjoying themselves in NZ at the moment so I can't ask him for more details for you.
But the short answer is "yes, there is such a product, and it's still available". Maybe a decent
camping supplier could help.
Cheers
John

Gday Errol
The mob at Infront Canvas sell a canvas waterproofing agent. It is sold in 2L containers which apparently covers 12 squ. metres.
Their address is www.infrontcampinggear.com.au
I have bought gear through them and their service has been great and products good quality.
Good luck
Cheers

Try to get hold of some Bradmill "DURADUX" its specifically made for cotton canvs, will also proof against mildew. I have a Freedom tent that is now 22 years old doesn't let
water through and has been re proofed twice in that time.
