In the absence of independent confirmation, I must remain unsure of the long term effect of this technology on engine performance.
Stephen,
. Thank you for explaining that
. (a) you have bought extended warranty to 6 years on your Nissan. (Ms Loosey would dine out on that one, should the scent drift).
. (b) wrt black smoke, my apologies; I didn't realize that you were referring to only the day or two post conversion.
. (c) Brad, on 3.10.06, referred me to Len in
Brisbane re conversion. Although I did not speak to Len on the 1800 number provided, I've found their service to be both prompt and polite. HOWEVER, no guarantee that I'm aware of, and I really don't cherish the thought of $2000 out-of-pocket plus $7000? engine rebuild in a year or so.
Someone Must be able to offer a valid, independant report on this technology: to my knowledge, neither GMH (Aust) nor RACQ are prepared to comment. So ??.

Why! may I ask do you NEED a six year warranty for on a Nissan.
Are they such a pile of crud to need such a thing or is it something to rip the poor old Nissan owner off on.
Roachie! where are you. Bet you haven't got a six year 'sleeping pill' with that mobile' RF jammer' you drive.
Whilst on the subject of that 'thing' I see a few threads above highlights the fact that GU's are bereft in the 'eathing' department amongst a lot of other berefts.
I now know that, that 'crows nest' of extra wiring/cabling equaling 500kg's of copper, is really some disguised earthing
grid to keep the 'thing' going.
Ooooh! I luv your work Geoff, especially the oportunity to incorporate the Kadina Kid.

Guess it had to happen Stephen.Sorry mate, but the scent did drift Loosies way.
You did have warning, so I assume you have the big stick to hand, with which to beat her back into her
cave.
