I was away in QLD last week and the bush princess rang me and told me that K-Mart were selling an electric camping clothes dryer - she couldn't stop giggling!

Well, we have almost everything else so I went in and checked it out on Saturday (with no intention of buying). There it was in all its glory:

Clothes dryer

It was an easy purchase to resist - it only ran on 240V and drew 900W. Still if I wired the inverters in parallel and bought another 80W panel and an AGM .... Pete NO don't do it!

The powered tent was interesting too!

I ended up leaving with a just a hose connection to fix the front tap in the carport and that was all.

Ah well, we will just have to keep stringing a rope between two trees.

Cheers

Pete

It may work better with the cover off, especially in Qld :-)

Save your Money

Leave wife to do the washing,go for a short bush Bash. Return back to camp washing should be finished & hand rung then get the Lady to lay cloths on hot bonnet,
'Easy"

Guys don't show this to the lady of the house. Or there will be a Bounty on me DEAD or ALIVE

That's a great idea, and it will also clean all the dust of the bonnet at the same time!

900 watts @ 240v is just about the capacity of my genny at max revs. I can just see us running the genny flat strap for several hours to get the undies dry!!!

What next????????

How about a 12v microwave? Would have to beat lighting a camp fire and sitting around swapping stories over a few drinks while the dinner cooks in the camp oven LOL. What's the world coming to??

Cheers

Or just subscribe to 4WD monthly, get the free cape trip DVD, put the TV on the bonnet of the 4by in the garage and pretend you are there. It would be a great saving in fuel too!
