I have recently purchased an hilux dual cab 2000 model and wanted to know if I can add an extra fuel
tank under the tray to increase my fuel load.I would like to know if I could fit a
tank from the wreckers and what type of
tank would fit my flat tray hilux 2000 ????

If you dont need the extended range all the time some jerry cans may be your best bet !

I did that years ago in my HZ 1 tonner.
Got a fuel
tank custom made to fit in
the gap between the chassis and the tray, it ended up being about 150mm deep but full length of the tray. The filler was on the floor of the tray, bit of a PITA to fill, but as it carried 160L in addition to the 70L standard, I was happy.
