Hi All
I am up at agness waters/1770 for 1 week in November and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on 4wding?
I've gone back on the posts and have basically only come up with
deepwater NP.
Are there any others, perhaps inland that would be a good idea to visit and should there be somewhere I deffinately should go to?
ta!!
love reading this

You could also try Eurimbula NP to the north. It is not really challenging 4wding but is a nice drive into the Bustard Head campground or
Middle Creek. Take a fishing rod with you, too.

medson,
Back along the
Miriam Vale-Agnes road there is a turn off to Eurimbula National
Park. Instead of turning right to Eurimbula further down the track, go straight ahead to
Middle Creek and eventually to Turkey Beach, out to the Bruce Highway and back to Agnes. I have never been along this road but friends say it is still navigable by 4by. Someone else may have more info for you.
Cheers,
Bros.

I'm from
Gladstone and my hubby and I often go to Kroombit Tops for a bit of 4WDing. It takes about an hour and a half from
Gladstone as you can't go very fast once you get into the thick of it, so from Agnes would be about 2 and a half hours. There's an old bomber up there that crashed way back during one of the wars, there's not alot left of it now as people have been stealing pieces but it's worth the drive and the look out is pretty nice too. Don't go if it's raining, lots of leaches!!!
