Well I finally did it,
I rekon I first visited this site ........well I think it was the late 90's but not sure, with my constant moving with Defence never got to actually joining. Hopefull we are now in the one spot for a while up here in the Barossa and I am now a proud member. Got to be happy about that.

Looking forward to stiring the pot once in a while:-)

Thanks Gramps,
I am actually a NSW boy myself, mid North Coast. My work has now relocated my family and I in SA, so here we are.

Cheers Toytruck.

It's getting crowded in here.

If this keeps up I'll have to start looking for quieter forums so I can get a bit of piece and quiet.

Then again if this site keeps growing in popularity it will be taken over by National Parks and we'll all get locked out. Geeeeeee I hope that never happens

Welcome aboard Toy. Have to call you that 'cause Truckster already gets called Truckie hope thats OK>

Duncs

p.s. nice pic!!!

Duncs,
call me anything you feel fits, been called a lot worse:-)

Thanks for the warm welcome, which also applies to all replies.

It does eem as though I need to come up with a nice statement to add to my pic that defines my view on life, as most others have. I'll see what I can find and try to make it as meaningful as possible:-)

Michael J,
love the Barossa, a great area. I do miss the easy access to the beaches and mountains that the East Coast offers though. One of the things I find in SA is the amount of "Private Property Trespasers Prosecuted", or " SA Water Keep Out", signs around. In NSW almost all of the inland resevoirs are open to camping, fishing, skiing etc which provides some excellent areas.

Still love SA though, more desert trips.

Toytruck.

Get to know the Flinders while you are here. Willem has lots of good advice on travelling around there and can be bribed easily with top deck (so they say, I haven't made it to Peterborough yet)

Good to see another SA member and military (ex?) to boot.
