Hi there,
I recently purchased a 1985 Jayco Swan. I have a towbar attached to my car, (mitsubishi magna), that has a 90kg down weight & a 1600kg towing capacity. Does anyone know if this is sufficient to tow the jayco swan. I dont know where I can find the exact weight of the camper. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Andrew Murray.

Hi, we have a '79 Swan and it is 760kg with a ball weight of 120kg. Get your old bathroom scales and using a jack put your jockey wheel on the scales!! Instant ball weight. For ten years it was towed by a 1400kg Tarago on LPG with no problems. Ours is the lurid green colour scheme, is yours the tasteful orange and grey? But to be sure that our models are not too different in mass phone Jayco. Mine has a plate pop rivetted to the A frame with the mass on it. Cheers, Warrie
