Can anyone recommend a rust convertor I can paint/spray on the (t)rusty FJ.
I intent to cut out as much rust as I can, but there's bound to be spots I just want to convert/stabilize before I bog up and paint over.
TIA

Hi Red60,
I use a product called Fertan. It comes in a small squirty bottle for about $12.00.
Good stuff!

I'll second that. My MQ was a rustbucket but Fertan stopped the rot, even if it didn't actually fix it.
Cheers

ranex- clear liquid in a plastic bottle, paint on with a paint brush and watch it go.
Dont get it on painted concrete tho.

when I first used rust converter I thought it was a wonder paint, but it does not last that long. I now use penetrol and find the rust proof finnish lasts a lot longer.
