Morning all,
Has anyone run into any dramas with blanking off the EGR on their 1KZTE? e.g. running hot, power changes, fuel consumption anything like that.

I have a 95series prado with that engine and it does not have EGR. hope this helps. Dieselman

Lucky bugger, I've got an '02 Hilux. It's definetely got an EGR and it's making a mess inside my intake big time. Thanks for your reply mate.

Hiluix Surf, has had the ERG valve blanked off for 2 years after the head was replaced. The intake manifold was thick with carbon, tows a van and is currently travelling Oz. Fuel consumption etc about the same
