With the lack of resolution, it is hard to say exactly what it is we are looking at, but my guess is that it is a rubbish tip.

I guess that they have to do something with the rubbish at a place like that, and like most tips, if its out of sight then most of us dont give it a second thought. One can only hope that it is well managed.

Hi Richard.
One of the things that annoys me the most is rubbish, and the worst rubbish / litter is the stuff that comes out of car and truck windows, and really bad one is dumped rubbish, I had to go do a job a few weeks ago and took the wrong road and ended up near the Barbogallo Raceway and then followed Hopkins road over to Wesco Rd ,well the amount white mans trash in there is an utter disgrace,

Bonz
Seems the ANPWS has something to answer for here too , they are allowing the rubbish to remain

Governor-General Sir Ninian Stephen handed over the title papers at a ceremony near the base of Uluru.
Five minutes later the traditional landowners signed an agreement leasing the Park back to the ANPWS. The Northern Territory Government was so angered by the handover that it withdrew from the management arrangements and the Park is now run jointly by the traditional landowners and the Australian Nature Conservation Agency (the renamed ANPWS).
Oh I forgot , Bonz can't read

Umm err Doug

Sorry my statement was totally wrong , I don't mind admitting when I'm wrong , it was not Gough who handed Ayres Rock over ,
Gough was part of this .

Prime Minister Whitlam hands over the lease to Daguragu Station. This was 3,236 square kilometres of land purchased from Wave Hill Station by the Gurindji with money provided by the Aboriginal Land Fund

So how does one tell Doug? Oh that's right a black man's trash is rolled onto it's roof & set alight next to a dozen Coolbah casts where as a whiteman's trash is jacked up on bricks with a dozen empty VB's on the back seat :-)))
Cheers Craig.......

Have you been to the site I am refering too, Probably not and if not you should'nt be making a comment, near that road I seen not cars but general rubbish discarded by whites from a whites suburb near Wanaroo, I failed to see hundreds of wine cask bladders as I seen in the bush near Yuendumu NT and there is no burnt cars as there is on the Great Central Hwy between Laverton and Yulara, in fact it would my guess you don't travel much at all and when you do you have blinkers on , I also found a large stack of Asbestos roofing dumped on a little track not far down the Albany Hwy from Perth.

Interesting you mentioned Wave Hill Station, my father worked at Wave Hill and my mother was Radio operator OBO George and the post mistress 1952/3.

My mistake Dougy, I wrongly thought you were identifying the rubbish in your original post (S25 19.962 E131 04.407) as being white man's trash & was merely wondering how you worked that out via a satalite photo on Google earth :-)
Out of interest your guess couldn't be further from the truth..........having been driving 4by's for 26 years I've been fortunate to see far more than my fair share of this great country, enough in fact to know that unfortunately no skin color is exempt from dumping rubbish.

That's ok mate, all worked out ok , The point I was also making about the amout travel you would do was aiming at a comparison , now I don;t know what you do for a crust , and you said 26 years of 4x4ing , My first solo trip was in 1966 in a 1962 EK Holden, and I am still on the road somewhere every week , If I'm not I get bored, and I am not going back into Trucks , after 29 years the fun has gone from that due to all the crap being introduced by Laws, anyhow have a good week and catch you here again no doubt,
Another thing after 26 years you must have done the Canning and Cape York by now, and after 40 years I still not been to either but I;m working on it.

What peeves me off is that I am not allowed into most of the bushland around Perth in my 4wd because it's "protected", however a quick walk through the majority of these "protected" areas will find you tons of asbestoes and other household rubbish dumped in there!

Ok, so I do the right thing and don't enjoy the bush in my 4wd with my family around Perth, but the people who are destroying it still destroy it! What's the point, sometimes I just feel like I should stick it to the bastards and just drive in these places anyway.... :-( Very very frustsrating... If they are going to protect these areas why don't they actually get off the asses and protect them rather than just sticking signs up that are only going to stop the law abiding people and the yahoos will still trash it with stolen cars and dump trailer/truck loads of rubbish in there...

Yeah it's true, I would get busted! Be bloody typical!

Yeah I'm lucky that I live North in some ways and unlucky in others. Wilbinga and Lancilin are a very short drive away, but I love the BUSH more than the beach. The closest bush I have (other than the pine plantations) would probably be Julimar and it's only just been reopened in recent years. I don't mind driving a bit for a play to protect the areas that need protecting but when they are getting ruined anyway I wonder why I'm pouring all that fuel out of my wallet....
