Hi all
I was fixing the pressure washer today and dropped the steel ball from the trigger mechanism, it then rolled under the house. I threw out all my old bearings etc when I moved here from
Alice Springs, so I'm hoping someone on the
forum can help. I need a steel ball about 6.5 to 7.5 mm in diameter (7mm would be ideal), probably from an old bearing I guess. Or if someone has a broken pressure washer trigger, the steel ball in it might still be OK to use.
In the meantime, the 4WD won't get washed LOL.
Thanks
John

Alice to
Hermannsburg !!
(No I won't be rude: best wishes and half your guts).
Dropped a miniscule washer from a fishing reel into buffalo grass recently. Didn't have the sense to outsource a replacement, so proceeded to dig, wash and sieve for a couple of hours:finally turned up on the second last sieve.
Good luck while you wait. JH.
ps. Probably a good move - Alice looks nigh on stuffed now.

Jeff I dont proclaim to be a sieve expert but why the Second Last one? I would have thought it would be the last one cause I woul dhave stopped sieveing when I found the lost part?

Hey John, since no one else has responded (so far) I've checked my bit's 'n' pieces tin and have found one approx. 7.7mm It's getting late at night, my eyesight isn't quite what it used to be, I only have manual calipers, the size could be slightly different. Do you think it would be of any use to you?

Hi DIO
7.7mm is probably just a tad too tight, but thanks for looking.
Cheers

G'Day John
If you go to any bearing company you can get individual steel balls of just about any size you need. Probably cheaper than getting genuine parts ( if possible ) from the pressure washer company. Hope this helps

Hi Bold Jack
I didn't know you could buy individual steel balls from bearing suppliers, but I'll give CBC Bearings in
Alice Springs a try. Might be just the ticket as I can try before I buy, rather than guessing the size.
Thanks
John

Thanks Nick. I'll be in
Alice Springs later in the week, so hopefully CBC Bearings can supply what I need. If not, we'll resort to your tool box!
Cheers

Hi Jiarna
you could try a push bike
shop for a ball
I had a thought though - maybe genuine would be better - the check valve? ball was probably stainless steel
hope this helps
