I,ve had one for a couple of years now with no problems.
The new ARB roof tents are from China so be wary!

Isnt every thing these days, I must say our camper trailer is great, trailer made in
Adelaide, canvas from china so far so good seems nice and thick canvas supposedly 14 ounce if there is such a thing. I would be surprised that ARB would sell a product if not up to standard (
well our standard anyway) as it would give them a bad name for selling a dodgy product. But then you might be write. I will no in time I suppose as to how the china canvas with stands our harsh enviroment sun wind etc. Regards Steve M

Large parts of several types of aircraft are built in China (Boeing, Airbus and others) Qantas wants to get all it's heavy maintenance done there etc. etc. A lot of Toyota parts come from China before assembly. Country of origin does not in itself mean poor quality.

I was talking to the guys at ARB the other day about their new roof tents and they said the specification for the tents was exactly the same as for the current ones, just that the cost of manufacture from China was less that Sth Africa, so I dont think that quality will be an issue. Had the opportunity to climb into one they had on display and it seemede very comfy.

TJM told me today they are now selling the Howling Moon 1.4 metre rooftop tent for around $1550. Previous price was $2500. Supposed to be identical. Sounds good.

I have a Hannibal had it for about 1 year been all types of weather & conditions with no problems. All i can say is do your homework with lots of touch & feel. Found that its canvas does breath unlike others on the market. Good luck & get one they are the best.

I dont use one, but a wise word from a distinguished EO user, Des lexic, once told me that VIAGRA is a great product designed for roof top campers , to stop you rolling out of bed !!!
He should know he has one !!!

"wise word from a distinguished EO user, Des lexic" Who are you trying to kid.
Funny thing though, last Sat night was down at
Milang camping and got into bed soo tired that I forgot to zip the tent up. Woke up next morning and nearly fell out of bed LOL

HI Pesty
Had a chuckle when I read your response; what does he have? The rooftop tent or the woody?
Now Des is here he might elaborate.
