Hi All,
Have now had my new V8 GXL Cruiser for a week and can't believe how good it is. My previous car was a TD Prado so needless to say there is a big difference on power and acceleration, I can now actually beat people off from the lights.
I have filled up the tank twice, on my first tank I got 15.2L/100kms and my second I got 13.9L/100km (nearly all freeway driving). We head off to Queensland next week with the Camper Trailer in tow so I don't expect to get as good consumption, but I will keep you posted.
Tim.

Very impressive fuel figures as I generally get between 14-15ltr per 100 with the Patrol 4.2TDi.....You can't complain with that unless you drive miss daisy.....TIC

I must admit I am not putting the foot down as hard as I would like but I'm still running it in. I am glad to know that I can get decent fuel economy when driven sedately as I was scared by the lease companies original budget of 23.9L/100km put in the lease (I managed to talk them down to 17L/100km).
The car sure does make a nice noise when you put your foot down but I am sure the fuel gauge will travel south very fast as a result.

The V8 Cruiser is a sweet machine, better than the TD other that fuel economy i reckon. Can use heaps though if driven hard.

Looked at v8 cruiser the other day, the sticker on tne winscreen had fuel at 16.1 ltrs /100kays so you are doing
well for a new motor.

Filled the lc100 auto v8 right to the brim a few weeks ago and drove an easy 400 odd klms highway sitting on 95-100 ,then filled up again right to the fuel cap again.Result was a pleasing 12.85 ltrs per 100.
