Has anyone had experience with the the 12/240v Polaroid TVs that are available from some of the department stores from time to time. Any comments would be appreciated.

Only problem with the polaroids is each time you want to watch it you have to wait for it to develop and peel off the sticky back.

Leaves a bit of a mess in the passenger seat when the movie gets fast and furious.

We have two polaroid 10" portable lcd players.(kids xmas presents).
Have proven to be reliable where the original purchases failed and had to be returned...audiosonic which also sell under a range of other brands
They have an excellent picture quality

The current 'cattledog' for 'big dub' has Polaroid 38cm LCD TV for $2998.00 It claims resolution 1024x768 and PC compatible. Doesn't state 12 volt. Will be calling in there today, will check.

Well spotted, the thumbs got in the way - that should have (of course) read $298.00 - makes it sound a LOT more affordable.

Steve

We bought one 2 weeks ago to replace an old clunker used by SWMBO in the kitchen works a treat at home, the bonus was when unpacked found that it worked on 12V, tried it last weekend with our boosted camping antenna no problems. Draws about 2 amps.

Regards
Rocky

Called into Big W today, checked them out. Considering they are running in the store the picture quality is reasonable (read acceptable) however I believe that they are produced to a price, they look cheap although for the money I guess if the do the job go for it. Not exactly a fortune involved her.
