Hi guys
We are looking for an all-purpose (going to be 2 x 6'4" tall boy children) family 4WD with the capacity to tow 1 horse easily and 2 if needed, and have found a '98 Ti Patrol with 130K on clock and full dealer service history (corporate vehicle) for $24K. Would definitely get extended warranty + gas conversion.
Just checking in with "the experts" here to make sure no major model issues. Originally thought diesel but gas is cheaper as ongoing cost with govt rebate assisting with initial purchase price.
Any comments gratefully received.
Cheers
JJ

It will do it ok JJ , but be a little slow.
If you can , stretch an extra 10k to the 4800.
With massively more power and torque , bigger brakes combined with better
inherent fuel consumption and a 5-speed auto if you go that way you won't regret it performance or life cycle cost wise.

Hi JJ01. We towed a CT & also a caravan with our previous 4WD which had double
barn doors (we now have a 4WD with single door, as u know). At times we found with the
barn doors it could be a little tight getting them to open wide enough to get stuff in and out easily. Like a saddle, or a stack of
hay. The solution is when you
park (stop) the 4WD turn fairly heavily to the right for a couple of meters so the car & the float are at an angle to each other. You will then be able to open the small door at the left offside rear and have reasonable access to the loading area. Cheers.
