Mine is not a GU 3 but it is a GU and I can't imagine the chassis has changed that much.
Mine has an ARB winch bar and one recovery hook (OE) is on the left side chassis rail. I can not fit one to the right side.
My GQ had a similar set up and had two recovery hooks mounted on the bull bar. They were fitted to the inside of the vertical framing just above the bumper level and worked very
well. I tested them a couple of times.
Other than that you could possibly cut the hook off the mounting plate and weld it onto the other side so it will bolt to the rail. Mirror image of the one on the left.
Hope this helps
Duncs.

Off Road Equipment [WA] have recovery plates with the holes pre drilled, so I'd say other 4WD accessory shops do too. I think one side of the chassis has holes with captive nuts but other side does not.

I've got a series 3 with TJM bar. I had the Nissan hookon the left and an Outback Ideas recovery point on the opposite side mounted on the side of the chassis rails.
I had to remove this when I fitted a bash plate and ended up using an Outback Ideas recovery point for a bLandcruiser mounted to the threaded points on the underside of the chassis rail. I've now got a hook on one side and a closed lop on the other.
