Gday
I note in a previous thread some Eu 20's were purchased at the recent 4wd Shows in the Eastern States.
I am wondering what sort of prices you paid.
At the
Perth 4wd Show this weekend Eu 20 is offered at $1968 less Honda $200 Cash Back = $1768
Many retail outlets in
Perth sell for $2000 less Honda Cash Back of $200 so only a saving of $32 at the 4wd Show.
How does this compare???? Maybe I should try Union Shopper???
Regards

At the recent Caravan &
Camping Show here in
Brisbane the 'Generator Place' Were selling them for $2,000 less the $200 cash back. This offer has been around for some time now and I saw a TV ad the other night saying that it expires at the end of December.
Your 4WD Show price is not too shabby at all.
Cheers,
Patrick

There is a Eu 20 on ebay at the moment for $899. Item number: 180049012925
although 2nd hand Hondas have a good reputation for longetivity it may be worth looking into.

Just for your info, the last one I was 'watching' on ebay sold a couple of days ago for $1450, not a bad buy.

Yeah I know I've been watching them for a while. If you don't mind not having any warranty left on the gennie then they can be a good deal. You just need to make sure that the 240v outlets are what you want. ie 10 amp and not 15amp as I think they used to come out with 15amp outlets (please correct me if I'm wrong)
Cheers Kev

They used to be 10amp and now they're 15amp. It's better because you can now plug both 10amp and 15amp leads in without having to make up an adapter.

G'day Bushie,
Last month, at the
Adelaide 4wd show I paid $1954.55 plus GST.
Got $200.oo cash back, and some 'freebies' -security cable (good one too), 1lt oil, and a fuel can.
Reckon it was about par for the course, so your deal is not too bad.
Cheers
Michael

Batemans Bay Show (NSW) yesterday advertised show price of (Eu 20)$2000 plus $200 cashback.
So I'd say anything under that with extra goodies is pretty good.
Didn't try and buy or haggle or go for two so maybe possible better deals can be had.
Cheers
Garth

Gday
Many thanks for all the replies. Went ahead with the show special. They offered $1950 for cash iso credit card along with Honda $200 refund so pretty happy.
I paid about $1750 for one in 2003 so not bad with inflation etc.
For anyone wondering just what an Eu 20 will do.
In the
beach shack we run together:
Large house type freezer
Large house type fridge
TV
Up to 8 globe lights & 2 fluros
and when the gang arrive
2nd 330l house fridge
3 or 4 x 40l Engels
The freezer and fridges get a hell of a workout in summer temps. The Eu 20 runs 24/7 for up to a month at a time. All on Eco switch 2 minutes after starting. It averages 10 to 11hrs per
tank of fuel (4l). We change the top quality oil every 50hrs (recommended 100hrs) and it is placed off the ground and in any breeze available.
Touch wood it's still going strong after 3.5 years.
I've considered the cheaper alternatives such as Engel, Kipor etc but not prepared to chance it. Yamaha 2400w maybe but "when you're on a good thing....."
Regards
BTW I have no connection with Honda. I am just a happy customer.
