G'day All,
I am just doing a little research on a tv antenna for my camper trailer
and just not sure which one to get.Just want some opinions on what
is being used and what people are happy with. The units i am looking at are the
foldaway antenna and the happy wanderer t bar antenna or the dx antenna.
any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Don

Hi Don, the happy wanderer works really well for us, so far no real dramas.

Hi CD, i've made up a bracket to put it on to the flip up boat loader on the camper, that way we get it nearly 20ft into the air, dont use an amp yet as havn't really needed it. We used it once at Narooma, NSW, then quite a few times out in the bush at Dunolly in rural Vic when out prospecting for weeks at a time. Cheers unc.

We basically bought ours because a mate had one and his picture was very impressive, so sold us as well!

Hi Don.
I bought a magnavox omni-directional antenna on ebay.
I live at Tweed heads & set up the antenna etc on my front lawn using my camper inverter.I picked up all the qld & nsw stations with no problems. Even bought a cheap dvd player to use as well!!
Regards.

Hi Don,

My antenna's should be here in a few weeks. I will test then and post the results.

They are sealed, remote control directional and well priced.

If you are not in a hurry let me know. I will be lending out the prototype for testing.

Regards Derek.

those aerials are available now on ebay
poor and dont do Australian channels and dont do both vertical and horizontal
50% of transmitters are horizontal transmission
only Digimaster does all Australian channels
you need a TV aerial that can do horizontal and vertical reception at same time and is cut for digital TV
Jaycar Digimatch this is the only TV aerial available in Australia suitable for all Australian channels in both horizontal and vertical and will do both at once as many regions they transmit in both polarities at the same time.

Hi Sun

The Problem with the majority of these imports are they are not designed for DVT and Australian TV. I have spent 2 weeks in Hong Kong designing and refining the signal. The prototype should be here soon for testing.

Please don't compare to any JAYCAR Product.

that aerial will be useless as it cannot do horizontal and vertical polarisation at the same time.
the Jaycar product (also available DSE) is the only aerial available in Australia that does all Australian bands in both horizontal and vertical.
Yagi aerial like the Digimatch is the superior type design of TV aerial of which there are 3 sizes available at Jaycar and 1 at DSE
the picture you show is identical to the useless Easy Tune

Dear Jaycar

I think I will test it for myself.

You may be right... or wrong.

I tend to work these things out for myself. I don't just take one persons opinion.

You are not doing Ian and Ros any favours. Shame on you. Have you read their testimonials.

Regards Derek.

who the hell are Ian and Ros and should we care?
what does a useless aerial that is not suitable for Australia to do with anybody
why should people want to buy something that does not work and is not suitable or up to the task of what it needs to do. an aerial that will not do vertical is useless and one that will not do horizontal and vertical at the same time is even more useless. reason why that rubbish is been sold on ebay cheap they dont damn well work.
cannot and will not sit on the side and see good people been sold stuff that is not suitable for purpose and useless.

Ian and Ros own the company you are bagging which has great feedback and testimonials on their antenna. Mr Sun you still kindly provided the Link. Perhaps read their site first.

Like I said. I reserve my comment until I have tested the 'NEW' product due in a week or so.

You are quite steamed up about this. Perhaps too much Sun.. but you are the Wizard.

Kind Regards

Derek.
