G'day all,

I have a quick question regards a Swift stove / grill unit in our new caravan. We are in Melbourne to pick up our new 'van, due to head back to Adelaide tomorrow (Monday) morning. We checked over the 'van on Friday, and there is no tray in the grill, just a chrome wire frame which slides out. Quizzed the manufacturer about it and they checked with Swift - "that is how it comes" was the reply. I can't see how that can be right. There is nowhere to catch any fat draining off meat, or support meat or toast etc as the frame has a large hole in the middle.

The stove is Swift 500 Series, three gas burners and one 240V hotplate in rear LH corner.

If any 'van owners on the forum have this model stove, I would appreciate a quick comment so we have better info to work with in the morning.

many thanks,

glids

Doesn't sound right, we were looking at putting this exact model in and were told it was the best.

Glids,

I picked up a new van 4 weeks ago and it has exactly the same model Swift in it.

Ours came with 2 trays, 1 for the oven and 1 for the grill. They were stacked inside each other and because of that, we to had the same impression.

I would suggest that you check to see they arent stacked together.

By the way, what brand van did you get.
