Was reading the newsletter and the section about Willey Willey's, I have seen some very tiny ones about foot high rustling through the grass in the Waikerie SA area of the Riverland, My parents had a Fruit Block at Sunlands and that's where I seen the midget Willey Willey's,
Now in comparision I heard on the radio yesterday about a Cyclone type storm on Jupiter ,winds of 550 kph, spinning clockwise, and 8000klm wide,Australia is 4994.5 from Steep Point to Cape Byron, so it would be some storm.

I think the mini willey willeys are technically known as "Dust Devils"....
I saw that item on the news, I wonder when the Prime Minature is going to send a few billion $ in aid....I mean he may as well, very little of the aid money he sends overseas is doing any earthly good....
I spose this post will upset teabag....

I don't know what they are called technically , I was taught by my Parents when very young the name "whirlwind" but as in later years I adopted the name willey willey's, it sounds more Australian,
Now I'm at a loss as to how you connect Willey Willey's with the Prime Minister giving away OUR dollars to other countries but funny though i agree with your thoughts, But we will try and not go into politcal debates on the 4x4 forum

The other day I saw a "dust devil" in the main street of Ipswitch (Qld). No evidence of it where I was, but watched a bloke almost bowled over in the side street. Like most small ones, it came and went very quickly and didn't last long.
