If you open several browser windows then it will show multiple sessions for you.
This also occurs if you close your browser and then re-open it with EO (especially if EO is your home page). If you have been surfing the
forum in a few different windows (some people like to keep the
forum index in one window and open posts in new windows) then your ID will appear in the list more than once before the server at the internet end eventually grows tired of your session(s) and closes it.
Clear as mud???
Cheers
Muddy

Steve,
At the top of the
Forum Index there is a box called " Open Threads in new window" and you will probably find that is ticked.
If it is, then untick it and close all Exploroz windows except 1 and then have a look at the users list and see if you are still logged on multiple times.

Steve,
Browser sessions are based on what browser you are using and how it is setup. You should really be one session in the list regardless of the number of windows you open (however this can be changed with browser settings). If you run a fairly standard setup then you should be able to open heaps of windows and still be one user in the list.
There are several other reasons why you may appear more than once. If our server resets itself in the background (happens periodically and when I update the software - several times per day) this may cause you to appear a few times. During the software conversion I am running up to 4 processes that service the site and each of these may spawn a new session. If you close the browser and open again to ExplorOz this will cause a new session to start also. Really it is no problem just be aware if you create a new session with every page you view - this indicates that you have a cookie setting problem. However if you have not changed these since you logged on then you will have nothing to worry about.
Hope this helps - but do not worry the system cleans up on the hour.
