Hi all, just returned from a day at 40 mile beach, just south of karratha, which cost my mate in his NG Pajero three new tyres. After airing down and beach driving all day, we all aired up and hit the blacktop to return to karratha, but not one but two blowouts on the Pajero slowed us down! The issue was incorrect tyre pressure, causing sidewall callapse both times......Just want to stress the importance of running correct pressure when you hit the black top after a day of fun!

sorry, you said after airing down and driving all day you then all "aired up" and then hit the blacktop - so was the problem that the tyres were of inconsistent pressure or the paj didn't air them up enough ? This is kind of relevant to me so just want to get it right.

Hey Porl,

Whatever the problem with the Paj on this occasion you can be reasonably confident that if you reinflate to the correct road pressures and check each tyre with an accurate pressure gauge you will have no probs.

Heh,

1 is unfortunate 2 is the start of a trend!!

Must admit though most do their tyres on the dirt not on the bitumen.
