As with all things they dont often go exactly to plan.
I went off to the 4WD show with a fistfull of cash hoping to get an Evakool as a show special.
Nope,no one had any on display so I looked at what was there,Engel,Bushmaster,Waeco and a few others.

In the end I was tempted by the 50 litre Waeco with cover, hat and stubby holder for $1049.
The Waeco 5 year warranty and return locally VS Evakools 3 year warranty and return to Queensland deal.
I had visions of returning a fridge to Queensland to find that it would not fixed under warranty.
So in the end I walked out with a Waeco.

I also bought a Yamaha 1000EFIS watt Blue Whisper generator also.
I come close to buying an Engel which is also a good unit and was $200 cheaper.
But the low noise of the Yamaha won me over in the end.

I also bought a new high lift jack from a well known supplier. I desparatly needed it sat night when I go stuck on a rock and it let me down.
The mechanism seemed to start jamming up so I will be sorting that out today.
This is a new type that is supposed to conform to the AS:rolleyes:

I think you have done well with your purchases. I used my Waeco properley for the first time camping over the weekend and much to my dismay everything was nearly frozen in the morning. I turned it right down after that, works very well. The Yamaha generator is brilliant to.
