Just curious; I use the metric system for virtually all measurements but I still do my tyres in PSI and people's heights in feet and inches. Do others have similar quirks?

Hi Mike, It funnny but we had a similar discussion over the weekend.
My only input was that bleep es are always measured in inches.

Mike, same here.....being 51 I still use PSI and feet/inches for a person's height etc. However, as I've said on this
forum in the past, I simply don't/can't understand why some blokes (mostly older than me!!!! hahaha), still convert the fuel usage to MPG??? Your speedo/odometer is in kilometers and the fuel bowser reads in litres.......so it's chit-easy to work out klm/litre or litres/100klm.......why they then feel the need to quote that they are getting 25mpg is beyond me!!!
I think I might start quoting my speed in "Furlongs per fortnight" terms whenever anybody asks me how fast the Patrol will go in future. lolol ;-))

"why they then feel the need to quote that they are getting 25mpg is beyond me!!!"
cos it means something...the metric jargon of klms/per litre or l/100klm means jack sheit to me
and working out heatloads and designing airconditioning in metric also means something, whereas the imperial jargon is crap....

No, in fact one of quirks is bit bigger than the other and hangs a bit lower ;)
