Afternoon all,
Hoping someone may be able to clarify for us whether Jayco/Goldstream style wind-ups are allowed on Fraser Island. Can't remember seeing any when we were last on there and are looking to hire one for a fortnight with a view to buying one. Seem to recall talking to someone who said it was limited to true camper trailers only. Help would be appreciated.
Ben

Ben,
They are allowed over and I have seen a lot over the years.
Just have a look at track conditions etc as to how far you take it as for example some of the northern sections would be challenging to say the least.
Enjoy your trip.

I've seen Jayco's etc there many times. Even full sized vans get pulled up to Waddy, though I wouldn't try that without some backup.
Just need to watch the ramp angle getting on/off the barge. If
the beach is steep you might have a pretty savage angle to deal with. Also could drag the back of the camper on the barge ramp......
