Hi all,
Last night I pulled the standard 6 stacker out of our Patrol and fitted an aftermarket MP3 player and GME TX4400. The Patrol is a TI so it has the woodgrain bits. There is a 2mm gap either side of the UHF. Has anyone got any ideas on how to fill it? For the stereo, it came with a black surround to make it look all professional. I tried the same surround on the UHF with no avail. Any ideas would be most appreciated as SWMBO wont like the gaps ;-)
Thanks,
Tom.
P.S. Got a set of Stuan Deflators on ebay and just arrived today. paid $40 under RRP. I bought the set of 6 (4 for beach and 2 for bush). anyone in the market should check out ebay. there are loads on there!

Tom,
What about automotive rubber? Something from Clark Rubber - the self adhesive type about 2.5-3.0mm - stick it on the side of the GME and squeeze it into place.

Hi Tom,
The TX4400 is a DIN fitting unit. Try a small piece of black heavy duty rubber either side, that way it should fit in
well with the black colour of the radio.
Give it a go, only you will be able to notice it there.
Cheers
Stephen

Get some draught excluder foam from Bunnings, I used it on my CB in the overhead console. It is sticcky back and you can cut it to width.

I just fitted a TX3400 to my Patrol recently but I thought I read in the cattledog that GME supply a face plate to suit the DIN size TX4400.
