I keep killing my aux batteries. Fortunately the local Beaurepaires keeps replacing them on warranty, but they must getting as sick of it as I am.

While I'm checking a few other wiring setups, I'm querying the spotties relay.
The diagram I use was provided by the local Toyota dealer, and I've posted it here previously.
It certainly works, but the relay is always open and I wonder if that is creating a small but constant drain.

Could a few of you who have negative active highbeam please provide a relay wiring diagram so that I can confirm or change mine?!

For no apparent reason I've used one of those switches with a small led on the stalk on the dash. Which incidently didn't work in this situation.

I know neither of these factors alone will kill a battery, but the relay wiring is one thing I'd like to check.

Cheers,
John

FYI, the dual battery system has a pirhana gadget. Running of the aux battery full time are a grn radio, uhf & fridge. Based on discussions on this forum, I've got a powertech 12/6A charger which quite often I'll plug in overnight.

Hi John R, my Jackaroo is negatively switched and I hooked up my Narva's following the advice on this thread:

Worked beautifully, on with the high beam etc., and with the ability to switch off independently.

Hope it helps.

Cheers

Sorry forgot to mention, if you scroll down to the 3rd post on the second page there is a good description as to what to hook up to which pin on the relay.
