I've been posting a bit lately about small ovens , total fire bans etc.
While I have solved my problem with the "Better 12V Stove " project another
low cost option has come up for those with cheap or low powered gennies.
Almost all current ovens use 1200w or more but in Victoria at least , Big W latest catalogue currently lists a Ronson 240v toaster oven on special at $29 from memory.
This oven is quite small and is labelled as using only $650 watt.
This means the Bunnings genny's and little honda Eu10's should be able to run one,
which could make for a neat little setup for those that use gennies.
I am only going on spec's here , but I have a little 0.9 kw early generation honda
which I never use cause its to heavy , with luck I'll check this stove out in practise
over the weekend.
I also know some-one with one of these and they really work
well and can heat to over 200c

Ran up this little oven on our honda E800 (1kva max) genie whilst hand grinding an accelerator pump jet for a bike yesterday , and it worked very
well.
The 650w specification must be close to the mark , and we soon had a couple of hot pasties.
I also remembered why I hate generators in the bush.
