Hi there Tour boy, I believe they are differant, myn for memory are 3:08 my mates petrol is 4:11, his is alot quicker off the mark than myn but at 110klm my'n is revving at approx 2800 his is approx 3100/3200. I know with the LN06 providing you have the same ratios front and back (which you need to have) you can also interchange eg put a limo out of the rear and into the front. I can comfirm 100% when I get
home and
check the books for if you like. Regards Steve M

Thanks Steve, that would be great.
I'm wrecking one at the moment and a bloke wants to know if they will be a straight swap and I don't want to sell him somthing that doesn't fit.

Hi there Tour boy, can confirm myn but when I rang toyota they are saying there are 3 differant diffs for that model, they are saying depends on chassis no to what diff is in it they are saying the only way to tell 100% is to count the splines etc. I am chasing up again this morning with a mate of
mine who works at toyota where I use to work and he is going to ring the diff place for me where they send theres to see if they can fill him in any further. Will try and get back to you before lunch today with any further info. Toyota pain in the ar@e always changing some thing even though they are the same model LN06. I had the same problem even with my clutch fan 2 differant ones to suit 89 LN06 2.8D differant by a month. Will let you know any further info I find out. Regards Steve M

Hi there Tour boy, yes they are different, they will fit into the housings but are different ratios and number of splines. So if selling he will be required to change over diff centres and axles, see if you can sell him the complete diff drum to drum but as said he will then need to change front diff as
well other wise will end up with wind up in the transfer case/gear box and stuff the lot of it big time. Hope this helps you out in some way. Regards Steve M

Hi there Sarg, just checked my books and yes what you have put in is exactly the same and yet toyota books are telling otherwise, first they said 3 different ratios now there saying 2 but not the same as my book says work that one out, no wonder when we get
home half the time parts dont fit, same as my clutch fan 2 different types for the same motor, my mates 94 2.8D sr5 has a different part no to my although when you look at the 2 they look identical to me, same as my rear brake shoes put on couple of weeks ago toyota 1 fits all LN06's, yet when I rang up supercheap tell me there are 3 different types for my model can I bring the old ones in so they can compare and get it wright, got genuine and they fitted no problems. Got me stuffed. Regards Steve M
