Been away for just on 11 weeks working , renovating a farm house.
Had the computer rebuilt and now want to down load planet earth but there are so many questions they ask what version do most out there use.

Gday Eric, did you mean google earth, if so, i did the same recently and just clicked away at the most recent version, its free so if it doesn't work, try again!

How exactly did the computer get rebuilt?
In my experience we upgrade them :)

Use this link to download the lates BETA version, I use it and find it stable enough.
Double check that your PC meets the minimum specification shown on the download page.

Gerhardp1 I had the thing cleaned up and a new I think hard drive put in a that gave me 4 times more of something I had before.
I have tried to down load the Google earth and it says I have to change me pixels or similar but i try and do this and it dosnt help.
Any tips would be appreciated.

Hi Eric,
Sounds like this requirement is not being met -
Graphics Card: 3D-capable with 16MB of VRAM
Screen: 1024x768, "16-bit High Color"
Ideally you need to set your screen resolution to 1280x1024 for Google earth to be interesting. For this you generally need at least a 17" CRT monitor or a 15" LCD monitor.
You can check what your settings are by going to control panel, display settings.
Presumably you are running Windows XP ?
If it's easy, check with the person who replaced your hard disk- they will know what your other settings are.
