Happy as a pig in shi# .
Have only driven my Safari turbo addition about forty k's since getting it done this afternoon. So far it seems pretty awesome, really transformed the standard 1hz diesel auto. Easily seems comparable with my yet to be sold 99 VX Sahara 12ht factory manual turbo diesel.
The new turbo was measured at delivering 83.3kW at the wheels on the dyno-tune. Does anyone know what that reading transflates into kW in the engine?

Cheers

I think you can lose about 40% thru the drive train (maybe auto a bit more??)...
I guess you engine would be putting out about 135kW. Our TurboDynamics on1HZ is supposedly 125kW at engine with .5 BAR boost.

Hi Geoff,

Signman is about on the money with regards to power loss through the drive train (40%). 4.2T Patrol's run about 66KW at the rear wheels but manufacturers say 114KW at the flywheel. This is manual so maybe auto's are a bit different???

83KW would be a nice improvement over the standard 1HZ which I guess would be around 58-60KW.

Good luck with it.
Trevor.
