275x65x18 on a 1997,75 Series.

I think this have to be a first. 18" tyres on a Troopie. However the trend now is for bigger rims on lower profile tyres. The new Pajero will have 18" rims and I believe the new Cruiser will also have the bigger rims.

Scott from Lonards Automotive also agrees with me that the alloy rims are ugly, it is the tyres that I am tyring out.

Coopers have a new tyre compound on there 275x65x18 ST. The tyres have already been to Cape York on a Patrol, and now they are off to the Vic High Country for 7 days on the Troopie.

Now that the tyres are on I better start to pack, early start tomorrow.

So they are still a 32" OD tyre, just a +2 on 16" rims and a +3 on 15" rims?
Same OD as 265/75/16 or 235/85/16 or 32x12.5/15?

If so, you could still use some 7.5/15 on split rims to get you out of trouble :o).

Interesting, will be interesting to hear how they deflate for sand and mud being a 65 series.

Remember who 4wd's are aimed at now.. Mum and the kids.

from our experience recently at Robe - both new GU's on 17in rims suffered from tires that wouldnt bag at all until they were 10psi.. both on ST's.

both are going back to 16in rims - expensive lesson for both people :(
