I mounted mine under the centre console to the right of the gear lever. Just under the coin holder on my GQ. That way the wife can hit the manual brake over-ride, if I can't because I am too busy with the wheel...which has happened once.

I know it's not a GU Patrol but it might work for you...........

I took the ashtray out of my 100 series Toyota and put my Prodigy Brake controller there. Looks great and it's out of the way so it dosen't get bumped as well as being easy to reach if the need arises.

I agree with japmel. I was looking at my gq just yesterday and although i dont have a need to connect one anymore, the asktray is definately a good place to put it....that is if your not a smoker. Its out of the way and looks like part of the dash when done right.

Mine however was mounted under the throttle locker to the left of the steering column ( in my first GQ) I think thats the norm for GQ's anyway. But with a little time and effort it would sit well in the ashtray hole.
