Recently did a trip round the Flinders from
Robe which we did on the Melb cup weekend...
Took 500 odd photos with sons camera, as
well as the ones I took with the 300D. but when we got home and went to download them the card only showed ~20 photos... nothing we did would read it.
No idea if it was faulty card (SANDISK SD CARD), or camera (12mth old Samsung A400) I dont think the photos were deleted, as the card had photo #'s 10 - 20 and 32 - 40..
Googled, and found this www.ultimateimagerecovery.com/
10 mins later I had 498 photos on my computer - with a
water mark on them which it odes until you pay.
$40 it was worth it for the photos it restored - first bit of s/ware I've bought in years, but for what it saved me, bleep in worth it..
Just something to keep in the back of ya mind.

Sandisks - at least the bigger ones come with some nice software called RescuePRO which rescues them without watermarks ... and it's free ...
I could have sent it to ya Truckie.

"PC inspector smart recovery" is available free. Usually on the cd attached to Digital Photography magazines...
