We went to
Diamond head in the Crody Bay national
park for 4 days to try out our new Lotus caravan, and this afternoon as we were packing up to come home, a HUGE Mercedes 4X4 came in to setup for the night.
The couple driving it are from Germany and doing a world trip in this Merc. See www.monster-worldtour.de/ to view their website, but you will need to be able to read German to understand it. If you look at the menu you will see some photos and maps which will give you an idea of where they have been.
I took some photos on the camera and they can be seen here.
Hope you enjoy seeing the photos.

Hi Cruiser ,
I looks to be about the same vintage as the one in the picture I posted last week . They are pretty neat arn't they .
Gee , he seriously cut down his clearance with that
tank hanging down between the drivers side
wheels .
I will check out his website .
Thanks ,
Willie

Willie,
Saw the post, but me thinks it is a different vehicle.
I spoke to the couple but the English didnt seem to good.
According to their website, they landed in
Perth about 16th Oct and have been from
Perth to Kalgoorlie, Ayers Rock,
Alice Springs,
Brisbane, Byron Bay and
Laurieton in 1 month.
Wonder if they have seen anything ?

imagine tryin to recover one of these in the middle of nowhere on ya own? or even with a 4b and a 9k warn? lmao...
slow, thirsty, handle like bleep (or the 911's we had did), they get very warm in the cab on them things, no clearance, and the list goes on.
imagine needing spares lol. that will be 3 weeks wait Mr...

The photos in your rig pics are a different vehicle.
It seems from the web page (www.monster-worldtour.de) that there a number of these huge 4wd trucks that are being used on world tours by people. All I can say is that they must have plenty of money and time.
