Most
camping stores will sell 'Jimmy's Thunderbox'.
They are made in country Victoria. We bought ours at Nerang Disposals on the
Gold Coast, but I've seen them in lots of
places.

Folding Thunderboxes are a bit of a worry. Dunno if some residue might become entangled somewhere....lol
We have a Porta Potti and although it takes up more space, it works
well, and can be stored in two halves.
Something else to think about

We have one and think it is great.
As for the residue, you can cut the end out of a green garbage bag and line the inside of the thunder box. When finished for the weekend simply take the bag out and throw in the bin when you get home.
No mess to clean up.
Cheers

I line the inside of ours with newspaper. Then just push the paper into the hole before filling it in.
I agree on estapol or similar on the MDF.
The thunderbox gives great service, but can't be used everywhere. Like others we carry 'Jimmy' and a Porta Pottie. I'd rather 'empty' Jimmy any day.

"I'd rather 'empty' Jimmy any day."
Hear hear!
We have both as
well and use Jimmy whenever we can.

Hi Barb, if you get one- tell your hubby to 'seal' the mdf where it is 'raw' (not covered with melamine) with estapol or similar, otherwise if your Jimmy gets wet he'll swell up and go soft and be susceptable to damage. (Who woulda thought your Jimmy could swell up and go soft all at the same time!!!)

I ordered
mine online direct from the manufacturer: www.2daloo.com
I sealed the MDF with a few coats of spray lacquer. It has held up
well. Casper
