Had the time up my sleeve on Saturday to visit the
Yarrabubba Meteor Impact site, took a deviation from
Meekatharra down the
Sandstone Rd about 72 Klm to what is called Barlangi
Hill which is all that is left of the Impact, this one has no Crater left as it is so old [ 1000 Millions Y/O ] it has eroded away and left the melt rock core ,
Yarrabubba has no obvious circular geological feature, because it appears to have been eroded to a level
well below
the crater floor,I have added two photo's , click on two little thumbnails about halfway down my web page on Impacts.

After I left the site I back tracked to the turn off to
Yarrabubba Station and turned left through a
gate and followed a 2 wheel track along a fence line to about 40klm to the Cogla Downs -Taincrow Rd then across to
Cue, that was an enjoyable little sand road trip.

Awesome specs when you get to do a bit of study on them, I'm sure doing my share of study, I'm hooked
That last dune on the
Rig Road was a stopper eh, If you had turned right [ east bound] at the 200ltr drum and went down there about 1 to 2 klm you would have had no digging to do , but then I guess the exercise probably done you good..???
