over the last week our tv picture has got reaaly bad on most chanels including digital set top box chanels.
been buggering around all week to find whats the go.
well i just thought about it and realised it only started playing up when we brang the weaco inside.
our big fridge blew up and while we are waiting for waranty work to be done we thought we would use the 45 litre for butter/milk ect.
we went and bought a 6 amp power supply from jaycar to run the fridge.
i just turned the power point of and tv picture perfect again.
question is .
we also have a 90ltr weaco that we sometimes run with the 240volt adapter we bought from weaco and dont have any tv issues.
why would this set up were now using interfere with the tv?
it dosnt matter if the fridge is cycling or not picture is still crapolla.
cheers

cheap and noisy power supply, I have similar problem with inverter in 4wd- induced noise if listening to stereo with mp3 player plugged in and charging

Two points to consider. Is the jaycar power supply up to the job, or is it struggling ? If struggling it may cause interference by itself.
The smaller waecos DO emit interference (EMI). They often cause HF radios to be unuseable on several frequencies. (737 network in some cases). This interference is broadband and extends into the TV bands etc.
Such interference can be minimized with a good quality power filter.

I second the good quality in line power filter..! You have a simple power frequency interference issue, easy to cure with the right power filter. Whatever you were using to run the fridge was a crappy power supply or inverter.

If you have 3 phase power feed to your house then try your frdige on a different powerpoint which is on a different phase to your TV.
